Here’s a couple more for you!

The Mediterranean Vegan Kitchen by Donna Klein. Absolutely my favorite vegan cookbook.

The Millennium Cookbook is for people who like making meals that are all French-restaurant-y. I have heard good things, but I find it intimidating and have honestly not yet cooked from it.

Ooooh, and also – thank you! This was fun!

    Oh, and!

Field Roast Grain Meat Co. I forgot I mentioned their products. They are AWESOME!

And I’m holding you to the turkey contest. :-)

What’s this, are you going Vegan too now?

    I don’t think I have the discipline. :)

Excellent episode. I’m always looking for some great meatless recipes. I’ll have to give those cookbooks a try. Thanks! :)

I recently have started eating spinach salads (a recent discovery as I do not like the taste of most salad greens). An interesting side effect of this minor change in diet was that I no longer crave red meat at all. And you know what, I’m OK with that.

I’ve been a strict ovo-lacto vegetarian since I was a child. I hate it when meat-eaters tell me “oh, I could never do that!”, yet I have a similar response when I meet vegans.

I respect it, and will cook to it when I have dinner guests who are vegans, but rice cheese just isn’t the same.
