Oh, one last thing regarding Bartlesville: I’m not at all surprised that Google Maps has no street view available. Maybe when Google gets off their collective lazy ass and implements a “dirt road view” we’ll be able to have a look around the place.

But you’re just not headed for Tucumcari, you’ll be headed out for TUCUMCARI TONIGHT! It’ll make sense once you hit the Texas panhandle.

Nicole: Maybe you should try again now that books have moved off “tape”. Chris is listening to some downloadable audiobooks, many of which are a far cry from the dry, boring reads of old. Still may not be your thing, but you may find some to your liking.

Glad you’re posting the trip out. With the aid of G-Maps, I can pretend we’re along for the ride, without the pesky need to sit in a car for hours on end. I may be stuck at a desk for about the same amount of time, but at least I can get up to pee whenever I want.

I admire your ability to listen to books on tape. When I listen to audio like that, it very quickly becomes “Charlie Brown Teacher Voice”. I can listen to NPR, but not books on tape; not sure why.

Tucumcari almost sounds like one of those placenames that would send a high school sophomore geography class into a flurry of titters and giggles. Yeah. I’m looking at you, Lake Titicaca.

Glad to hear your travels are proceeding as planned. Northeast Ohio has not yet been consumed by flames in your absence, but we’ve had a couple of close calls.
