#OnOurFeet

This is a little thing that got started back in 2007, but I feel it’s time to revive it.

The purpose of the #OnOurFeet hashtag is to broadcast  your workouts and weigh-ins, so you can crow about your progress and support others as they work to get in better shape. This will work on every microblogging system, but it’s epsecially well-suited to Twitter and Identi.ca.

If you’ve been thinking about getting back to the gym, or if you’ve been doing it all along, why not tweet about it?  I mean, you’re going to tweet about everything else today, right? *grin*

‘Tis public, friendly accountability at it’s best. I’ve been looking for a convenient excuse to tip me back into regular physical activity… and you just gave it to me.

If we can incorporate this into some type of database, in order to measure our progress…nah, that’s too much work, let’s just tweet #OnOurFeet

Good to support one another. let me figure out how it works, I could stand to get in better shape as well. We can do it together.

So do I have to sign up for Twitter to do this? We just finished a 12-week competition at work (company-wide) called the Earth Trek Challenge. I’d love to continue tracking my activity and share with a group so we can motivate each other.

    BTW hiked 5 miles yesterday.
